Touhou in SPAACE! Mostly Harmless Touhou plotting

Since the taken list is up I just went through it and invited everyone in the cast who hasn't joined yet. Sorry if you get multiple invites, I just added each journal that wasn't a member already so as not to accidentally lose anyone.

That's about it.

So I only just asked the mods about doing this but I figured it wouldn't hurt to hash out some of the details here for the parts that effect New Gensokyo and it's residents.

What is this plot?

Basically Eiki is going to try and create a link to Higan or any part of the otherworld that houses our reincarnation cycle and will meet unexpected problems due to the improbability drive and have her efforts backfire (literally) on her. This will break her mirror knock her unconscious and make it so people (if the player wishes) will be haunted by their past misdeeds (or just stuff they regret or know they should have done differently.) I asked for it to be between three and seven days so we'll see how long it will actually be.

How does this involve New Gensokyo?

Eiki is going to be doing this within the border as she was anticipating possible complications and since the border itself would have made it a bit easier to try and connect to Higan. What this means is that when it all backfires it will be within the border and will sort of effect it.The most obvious visual effect will be the sky, it's going to go dark and fluctuate in colours, the atmosphere will also fluctuate and there will be strange weather due to it. The less obvious (unless you're Yukari or Reimu or simply trying to pass through) will be that it will either be incredibly difficult to get in or out, or be incredibly easy. In other words the barrier will be in constant unstable flux.

Will this effect those outside New Gensokyo?

Yes, and it will be more than just the sins of a persons past haunting them, which will effect the entire ship.

Since most of what Eiki was putting out will be absorbed by the barrier it will become a giant fluctuating power beacon. So anyone who can feel energy or power will notice something HUGE went down, it will also be obviously highly unstable. But nothing bad beyond instability will happen as it won't be left long enough to do anything.

How is this going to be resolved?

Eventually after a few days at most Eiki will wake up (someone will need to help do this as she will be in a bad state at first) and Yama hax it all back to what it should be. (Mostly be recollecting her energy and fixing her mirror.) Depending on if this plot is a few days or a week Eiki will wake up and fix it all in a day, or wake up and take a few days to fix it.

Is all this set in stone?

No! This is just my running idea for the moment, I am open to any suggestions or concerns about the state of New Gensokyo. So please share what you might want to see happen or what you most definitely do not want to have to deal with.

I am rather indecisive so why not just make a combination of all three? Or at least 2 and 4? It can have multiple sections. And a male side that will rarely be used.

So while the Thor was at the Lego Planet Eiki decided to commission several things, one of which was an onsen type thing. She tweaked whatever it was she had them make to look a bit more natural, but it will still need plants and stuff. (I assume she would ask Yuuka if she would help with that.) It will look, feel and act like a natural onsen but is still mostly artificial.
